A new medieval scene experiment to demonstrate some texture mixing. In my study to explore new looks for wall material i did some experiments with mixing multiple textures.

Medieval buildings are most of the time a mix of multiple building layers. You can find medieval blocks, plaster and colored bricks. You can’t simply add one texture to get the right look, thats why mixing five or more textures is sometimes the right way to go.

The looks needs to feel natural and blending with the surrounding environment. The artwork is based on a German environment. The beautifull castles allong the rivers are a great inspiration to play around.
